80 sailors and 4 Albanian ships on the exercise “Albanian Lion 2018”

80 effectives and 4 ships of the Albanian Naval Force for more than a week have been engaged in the joint exercise "Albanian Lion 2018". The "Albanian Lion 2018" exercise, which is taking place in our country with the participation of the military forces from Great Britain, Croatia, Kosovo and Albania, is practicing various training elements, using the training zones of Naval Force.

In the Gulf of Dukat in Vlora, troop drills are taking place with the participation of British, Croat and Albanian fighters. Among their main training elements are underwater search, finding different objects, excavating them, circular search, etc.

The sailing vessels of these three countries participate in the diver drill: Great Britain, Croatia and Albania. At the same time, from Cape of Pali to Porto Palermo, the Naval Force with four ships and a boarding group is developing a naval drill with the British ship "RFA Lyme Bay" and a "Wildcat" helicopter by performing various training elements such as near and far defense, the deployment of troops operation, the defense of the command ship from sudden attacks etc.

The "Albanian Lion 2018" exercise is being held simultaneously in several garrisons of the Armed Forces in Durres, Pashaliman, Porto - Palermo, Rinas, Zall - Herr and Biza with the participation of 1164 military troops, 126 land, sea and air vehicles, and it aims to realize various operations by land, sea and air.

Meanwhile, on Monday, September 24, at 11:00 am, at Mother Tereza Square in Tirana will take place the Day of Distinguished Visitors of this exercise, wherein is expected to attend Prime Minister Edi Rama.
