Since January 30, 2013, Mrs. Arta Musaraj, is Deputy Defence Minister of the Republic of Albania.

Prof. Dr  Arta Musaraj, Ph.D, was born in Vlora, Albania, in August 28th, 1974. She is an Albanian scholar, academician, Full Professor in various European and Albanian Universities.
Prof. Musaraj has received her PhD degree in Economics, and Professor Doctor degree in Economics and Communication Sciences, has over 17 years of academic experience as an Adjunct Professor, Department head in a number of Public and Private Albanian Universities. Mrs. Arta Musaraj has been awarded the title of “Hononary Citizen of the Region”, issued by the Region of Vlora, as well as she is is holder of the honorary titles: “Gratitude of the City” and “Protagonist of the Year” issued by the Municipality of Vlora City.

Musaraj is currently the first and only female Former Founding Rector of a University throughout Albania. She is specialized in different prominent universities in the World, as well as works closely as a scientific collaborator in many of Professional Journals.  She has a long curriculum with vast research, scientific and editorial contributions in lead prominent international scientific journals.

Education and Earned qualifications

Prof. Arta Musaraj, Ph.D. is a distinguished Albanian Academician. She is the founding editor in chief of the Editorial International Board of Academicus-International Scientific Journal, published in English Language; the most significant quarterly Albanian journal, part of the biggest international electronic libraries.
She leads the Entrepreneurship Training Center, founded with the support of IFC at the World Bank since 2003. Musaraj was for over three years the first and only female university Rector in Albania's history of higher education; and has served as Dean in the College of Economics and Law at the “Ismail Qemali” University, Vlora.
Musaraj is a Lecturer of  Ph.D. graduate and Master program courses at the University “La Sapienza” Rome, Italy and at the University of Cognitive Sciences, Vienna, Austria.
Has been twice selected to participate at the Woman’s Leadership Forum by Harvard University Business School.
Arta Musaraj is the recipient of the title “The Name in Science” awarded by the Socrates Committee, Oxford, UK.
Since 1996, Musaraj is an adjunct professor in a number of universities where she lectures in Economic Sciences, Business and Management and Strategic Communication. She has authored many university text books; scientific analysis and articles, is a certified expert, consultant and Trainer of IFC and the World Bank.  Has been a leading contributor in the Certified Master Class in Business and Administration Communications organized by the World Bank and its subsidiaries.  In the last decade has represented many international organizations in establishing courses, coordinating conferences and training for business and administrations in South East Europe.
Prof. Musaraj is a member of the editorial board in several international scientific journals, a scientific research collaborator and speaker in prestigious European Universities.
