Part of the life cycle of the Armed Forces personnel is the period of monitoring and treatment of the military personnel in reserve/release/retirement. This is supported by the legal acts of the military status of the Armed Forces in Republic of Albania, as well as Law no. 10142, dated 15.05.2009 “On Supplementary Social Security of the Armed Forces Officers, Employees of State Police, the Republic Guard, State Information Service, Police, Prisons, Police, Fire Protection and Rescue Employees of the Internal Audit Service in the Republic of Albania”, amended by CM decision, 793, dated 24.9.2010, amended.
The documentation which is submitted by the beneficiary in the relevant structures in the Ministry of Defence and the force/brigade/military units according to the type of benefit is:
To benefit early retirement for seniority:
- copy of completed application forms by the Regional Directorate of Social Insurance;
- photocopy of ID card signed by the person or certificate with a photo;
- authentication of payment during the transitional treatment;
- authentication of paid supplementary contributions, by months and years issued by the institution’s finance office or military unit.
Militaries are treated with unemployment benefit, for his/her spouse when losing their jobs for installation reasons outside permanent residence. This benefit is based on Law no. 9210, date 23.03.2004. Also, to children of fallen servicemen on duty and for it’s sake, are to be paid the tuition fees, based on Law no. 9210, date 23.03.2004, etc.
