From the financial support for the personnel to the modernization, Xhaçka sums up: Albanian Armed Forces at the service of citizens

"During the last 3 years we have managed to modernize the Armed Forces in order to transform it into a more professional force and closer to the citizens." - said the Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka at the ceremony of the 55th Anniversary of the Armed Forces Support Battalion, which was attended by the leadership of the General Staff of the AAF and servicemen who led the Support Battalion over the years.

On this anniversary, which coincides with the 3rd anniversary of taking office as Defense Minister, Xhaçka stressed that a new relationship has been built up with the citizens, by being closer to them in their most difficult moments.

The Minister stressed that in addition to increasing the capacity of equipment and infrastructure, special attention has been paid to investment in human resources, as one of the most valuable assets.

According to her, the recalculation of the job difficulty, the restoration of compensation for food, the certification of the Armed Forces Academy as an institution of higher education, provide the military with the proper dignity.

"During these years, the material military capacities of the Armed Forces have increased a lot, since the installation of the Integrated Airspace Surveillance System, the equipping with Blackhawk helicopters or the NATO certification of the Commando Battalion and the Second Infantry Battalion Group, as well as the completion with standardized individual equipment of the soldier for the Land Force", - said Defense Minister while underlining that today the Allies see Albania, not only as a pillar of stability in the region, but also as a security exporter wherever the Alliance faces challenges.
