Cadet Pilots start flying practice, Peleshi: After 15 years we are forming pilots within our capacities, AFA the best choice for high school graduates

Twelve Second Lieutenants who are attending the Military Pilot Course at Farka Air Base started flying practice with helicopters that serve for the training process.

The cadets started flying practice after successfully completing the theoretical phase.
The Defense Minister Niko Peleshi, was also present at the first flight of the cadets, accompanied by the Deputy Commander of the Air Force, Colonel Ylli Pulaj.
Minister Peleshi considered this event as a very important one and in addition to increasing human capacity, he also emphasized the increase of aircraft capacity.

"It is very important for us because after 15 years we are forming ourselves, with our capacities new pilots. At high cost, with the contribution and support of other partner countries, we have created our own pilot capacity, but now we are making available our internal capacity to produce the first 10-12 pilots. In addition to human resources, we are working to improve infrastructure, to increase the helicopters readiness. It is needed work to increase the number of helicopters on standby and get ready to operate the Black Hawk helicopters, which in a few months will become part of our fleet, as part of the partnership with our special partner, USA. It is all in the context of our very big ambition to come back with a lot of strength to education, and that’s about AF Academy, which is reopened and this year will reach a new dimension that has never had before"- said Mr. Peleshi, who took the opportunity to call on the Albanian graduates to choose the Academy of the Armed Forces to pursue higher studies.

"It is definitely one of the best opportunities to study at AF Academy, we not only have a very good offer of bachelor education in Military Sciences, but in parallel we will open this year for the first time two more bachelor programs, one program in Information Technology plus Military Training and an another in Navigation - Naval Command and definitely Military Science. In addition, we will open a program with 20 students in Cyber Security, Master in Cyber Security. These are offers that you can find in other private or public universities, but we have the most affordable costs, because every student who will apply, compete and finally qualifies for one of our programs has free accommodation and food, even a salary, or contribution of 330 thousand old All per month. There are many reasons why I sincerely invite young Albanians, recent graduates to apply from July 29 to August 3, through the portal u-Albania”.

The second phase of the flying practice for cadets in the Pilot Course is scheduled to last about 6 months, while on the other hand, the AF Academy is preparing to welcome the second generation of students.
