Higher education of military personnel should be an integral part of public higher education. This was the main object of the scientific conference held on September 30, in the auditorium of the Ministry of Defense, on the topic: "Civilian-military coordination in the academic field - the challenge of the 21st century ". This academic activity came as a collaboration between the Faculty of Defense and Security at AFA and the Department of Political Science of Barleti University.

Deputy Minister of Defense Dallëndyshe Bici, while greeting the conference proceedings, emphasized the importance of the Academy of the AF in the project of the modernization and professionalization of the Armed Forces.

Two main pillars where the conference panels focused were educational reforms in the framework of internationalization and the approach of academic circles as contributors in the field of Defense and Security with tangible works and projects.

The conference served as a forum for the exchange of various ideas and experiences between the participants and in consolidating partnerships with educational, scientific and research institutions within the country.

In the framework of a security setting where technology and information are paramount it was debated about drafting new policies in the field of curricula in military education with access from civilian education.

At the end of the conference, the chairwoman of the Scientific Board Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zamira Çavo and the Rector / Commander of AFA Brigadier General Dr. Albert Mullai distributed certificates to the participants.
