The documentation which is submitted by the beneficiary in the relevant structures in the Ministry of Defence and the force/brigade/military units according to the type of benefit is:
To benefit early retirement for seniority:
- copy of completed application forms by the Regional Directorate of Social Insurance;
- photocopy of ID card signed by the person or certificate with a photo;
- authentication of payment during the transitional treatment;
- authentication of paid supplementary contributions, by months and years issued by the institution’s finance office or military unit.
To obtain senile supplementary pension:
- Copy of completed application forms by the Regional Directorate of Social Insurance (modular nr.01);
- Photocopy of ID card signed by the person or certificate with a photo;
- Photocopy of the booklet senile pension;
To obtain supplementary disability pension:
- Copy of completed application forms by the Regional Directorate of Social Insurance (modular nr.01);
- copy of an electronic ID card signed by the person or certificate with a photo;
- notarized copies or photocopies of the Decision of the Medical Commission for Determining the Ability to Work;
To benefit additional family pension:
- copy of completed application forms by the Regional Directorate of Social Insurance (modular nr.01);
- family certificate;
- The military death certificate;
To benefit additional family pension, when people have died on duty and because of it:
- Copy of completed application forms by the Regional Directorate of Social Insurance (modular nr.01);
- Family certificate;
- The military death certificate;
All categories of beneficiaries, who are entitled to benefits under the law Nr. 10142, date 15.05.2009, originally presented at the Regional Directorate of Social Security where they have permanent residence.
1. In Regional Directorate of Social Security beneficiaries will be issued, 2 (two) copies of application forms and list of documents necessary for granting of benefits. A copy of the application, completed by the beneficiary, with all data, enclosed with the required documentation is submitted to the Regional Directorate of Social Security, while the other copy of the application when applying for seniority early retirement, for a supplementary pension on full senile retirement, supplemental disability pension, family supplementary pension, sent by the concerned person to the institution or military unit that has been issued to reserve or release, and in other cases it is submitted by the Regional Social Insurance by post structures of the ministry or institution where the recipient was issued on reserve/release for further proceedings.
2. For retired military personnel who have left career before entering into force Law no. 7496, date 07.03.1991 "For the status of servicemen of the Armed Forces", who apply to benefit supplementary pension, over the full senile retirement, the Social Security Regional Directorate sends only by mail to the Ministry of Defence, a copy of the second application completed forms and the form photocopy of the period of service, issued by the pension file for further proceedings.
3. For the military being treated with early retirement, retired military officer treated with supplementary pension, retired military officer treated with supplementary disability, military family treated with supplementary retirement benefits and requires to recalculate in Social Security Regional Directorate the supplementary pension benefits previously earned, the SSRD submits to the Ministry of Defence, only by mail, a list of names of beneficiaries, enclosed with the accompanying letter, for further proceedings.
4. The retired military treated in reform with DCM no. 225, date 29.05.1992, DCM No.7, date 10.01.1996 and militaries who have received pensions according to law no. 7703, date 11.05.1993 "On social insurance in the Republic of Albania" that require recalculation in SSRD, require by the Ministry of Defence and military unit where they are issued in reserve or release, the certification for the reference salary paid during of the reform period, according to DCM no. 225, date 29.05.1992, DCM no.7, date 10.01.1996.
5. The Directorate of Social Care (Social Care Sector for veterans, retired and in reserve militaries) in the General Directorate of Human Resources in MoD and the Forces Commands and units are responsible structures that deal with the final compilation of assignee military records according Law no. 10142, date 15.5.2009 "On supplementary social security of the Armed Forces servicemen, employees of the State Police, Republican Guard, State Intelligence Service, Prisons Police, Police of Rescue and Fire Protection and that of Personnel of Domestic Service Control in the Republic of Albania", DCM nr.793 date 24.9.2010 in support of the above law and the delegation to the ISI and subordinate structures of the lastly mentioned.
