Condolences for the passing away of Major Tanushi and Sergeant Hasanaj at the Albanian Embassies.
The lifeless body of Major Klodian Tanushi, fallen in line of duty in the “enhanced Forward Presence” NATO's mission in Latvia, is expected to arrive on Wednesday, May 15th, at “Nënë Tereza” Airport.
Major Tanushi, who passed away a few days after the explosion at Adazi Camp in Latvia, where Sergeant Hasanaj also lost her life, is expected to be brought by military aircraft.
Tribute to the fallen Major Tanushi in Latvia will be paid on Thursday, May 16th.
In his honor, a Ceremony was held in the Latvia Multinational Battalion Battle Group at the Adazi Base, where the Albanian Contingent is currently serving.
Meanwhile, today in the Albanian Embassies in USA, Canada, Kosovo, Romania, Turkey, Bulgaria, Italy, etc. was available the Condolence Book for the two effectives of the Albanian Armed Forces, fallen in line of duty, Zarife Hasanaj and Klodian Tanushi, who lost their lives due to the explosion of a mine last week in Latvia.
Deputy Prime Minister and at the same time Defense Minister of Latvia, who is on an official visit to the US, visited today the Albanian Embassy in Washington, where he signed the Condolence Book.
