Defense Minister meets with U.S. Assistant Secretary for Political-Military Affairs

Defense Minister Niko Peleshi held a meeting with Mrs. Jessica Lewis, Assistant Secretary for Political-Military Affairs in the U.S. Department of State.

Mr. Peleshi assured Ms. Lewis of Albania's commitment to fulfilling all obligations outlined in the "Lines of Efforts 2023-2027" document, which was signed at the end of the U.S.-Albania bilateral talks on Security and Defense in Tirana last September.

Albania, Italy, Bulgaria and North Macedonia sign in Washington the document on Military Mobility along Corridor VIII

During the NATO Summit in Washington, Defense Minister Niko Peleshi signed the Letter of Intent for the provision of Military Mobility along the VIII pan-European Corridor, alongside his counterparts from Italy, Bulgaria, and North Macedonia. This document commits the signatory states to take all necessary measures to ensure maximum flexibility and military mobility within their territories, supporting NATO's agenda for deterrence and defense in the Euro-Atlantic area.
