Mr. Dorian Tola holds the office of Defence Deputy Minister since June 5th, 2024.

Dorian Tola is a seasoned expert in Defense and National Security, with over 20 years of experience.

His career began in 2003 in the Albanian Armed Forces, where he served until 2017.

During his military tenure, Tola focused on long-term planning, modernization, and development of the Naval Force, as well as aligning processes with NATO standards.

From 2012 to 2015, he was the Head of the Naval Force Commander’s Office. Subsequently, he served as Defense Coordinator in the Situation Operational Office (ZOS) in the Prime Minister's Office.

In 2017, Tola transitioned to the role of General Director of the National Authority for the Security of Classified Information; position which was held until 2024.

Tola holds a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Turkish Naval Academy and a Law degree from the University of Tirana.

He furthered his education with two Master of Science degrees: one in National Security Affairs from the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) in California, U.S.A., and the other one in Criminal Law from the University of Tirana. He also completed the prestigious "European Union High - Level Common Security and Defense Course" in 2022, organized by the European Security and Defense College (ESDC).

In addition to his professional duties, Tola has been an external lecturer at various national universities since 2017 and a master trainer in information security modules. He is also a prolific author and presenter at several national and international defense and security conferences.

Dorian Tola is fluent in English, Turkish, and Italian.
