Minister Vengu thanks Hungarian air crews for their support in fighting wildfires

Defence Minister Pirro Vengu visited Farka Air Base today to personally thank the Hungarian pilots of two H225M helicopters, who have flown in to help Albania battle wildfires in various parts of the country.
Their arrival was coordinated through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism, reflecting the strong spirit of solidarity and close cooperation between Albania, Hungary, Croatia, and the European Union in facing natural emergencies together.
During the visit, Minister Vengu highlighted the need for continued vigilance in the coming days and praised the tireless efforts and professionalism of over 1,300 civilian and military personnel working on the front lines to contain the fires and cope with soaring temperatures.
