Mr. Andrea Shllaku holds the office of Defence Deputy Minister since 19 December 2025.
Mr. Andrea Shllaku holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Financial Management and European Policies from the European University Center for European Studies, University of Lorraine, France.
He has extensive professional experience in financial management, project management, port logistics, customs and import/export procedures, and public administration.
Mr. Shllaku began his career as a Specialist in the Financial Advisory Department at Deloitte Albania and Kosovo, where he focused on financial statement analysis and business valuation. He subsequently served as IPA Funds Coordinator and Marketing Specialist at the Ministry of Innovation, contributing to the enhancement of public services and the strengthening of transparency mechanisms.
He later held the position of Head of Internal Services at the Prime Minister’s Office for three years, where he was responsible for the planning and coordination of logistical operations at the highest level of government.
Following this role, Mr. Shllaku served for three years as Chief of Staff to the Chief Executive Officer of the Port Authority of Durrës, and subsequently for two years as Director of the Operational Division, overseeing port operations and contributing to the strategic development of the Port Authority.
He served as an external advisor on port infrastructure at the Ministry of Defense until he was assigned as the Head of the State Export Control Authority in November 2024.
On 19 December 2025, Mr. Shllaku was appointed Deputy Minister of Defence of the Republic of Albania.
He is fluent in French, English, and Italian.
