Defence Minister Ermal Nufi hosts New Jersey National Guard delegation

Nufi: “We reaffirm the United States’ continued support and remain committed to further strengthening the strategic partnership between our two countries.”

The Defence Minister, Ermal Nufi, today hosted at the Ministry of Defence a delegation from the New Jersey National Guard, led by Brigadier General Yvonne L. Mays.

The meeting was held in the context of the 25th anniversary of the partnership between the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania and the New Jersey National Guard, a bilateral cooperation established in 2001 as part of the State Partnership Program, initiated by the United States Department of State.

In a statement shared on his social media, Minister Nufi noted:
“As we mark 25 years of partnership between the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania and the New Jersey National Guard, we proudly acknowledge the strong and effective cooperation that has significantly contributed to strengthening professionalism, advancing modernisation, and enhancing the operational capabilities of our forces. During today’s meeting with the delegation led by Brigadier General Yvonne L. Mays, I expressed our gratitude for the continued support of the United States of America and reaffirmed our commitment to further deepening the strategic partnership between our two countries.”
