AAF starting the learning and teaching campaign in High Schools, Xhaçka: Extraordinary Career Opportunity

The opportunity to make a career in the Armed Forces will be in the focus of the Albanian youth. The Ministry of Defense launched from Fier the open - air teaching and learning campaign aimed at familiarizing the youth with the opportunities that the Armed Forces provide in terms of employment, studying, and serving abroad.

The opening of the campaign in "Perikli Ikonomi" High School in Fier was also attended by Defence Minister Olta Xhaçka, who at the outset praised the work of the Armed Forces, even though often invisible.

Speaking of the chances that the Armed Forces provide as regards employment and military education, Minister Xhaçka invited young people from Fier, who are in the career selection stage, to consider the opportunity to serve in uniform.

"There are different professions in the AAF, they are not only soldiers, but also professionals. In the Armed Forces, you will find all kind of professions, which may not seem really evident, but we want to show them to you, so may consider the military as an opportunity especially when you are selecting your career. You join the Armed Force not only to become a soldier, but you go into a profession to make a true career within the AF as a lawyer, an economist, a pilot, a medical practitioner, as well as nurse and any other profession that may be of your interest. Even those who want a vocational training and do not want to continue higher education have a place in the Armed Forces, in becoming a very good sapper, a very good technician, thus finding a profession that enables you a safe future for yourself and your family."

Minister Xhaçka also mentioned the opportunities that the Armed Forces provide regarding education and professional growth abroad for its military members, based on their skills and meritocracy. "The AAF is a team and a great family caring for each - other. It is the family of the largest Alliance in the world, the NATO’s. Our soldiers have the opportunity to be educated in the best military academies around the world. You will find qualification courses and other training opportunities; functional and institutional courses that are truly an extraordinary opportunity to educate and train someone to face life and career through a genuine profession, and AAF offer this opportunity."

The open class in "Perikli Ikonomi" High School in Fier, which was also attended by Mayor Armando Subashi, MPs Antoneta Dhima, Adelina Rista, and Xhevit Bushaj, was only the first of the campaign. It will continue every Friday, until the end of the year, with high school students of all counties in the country.
