Brig. Gen. Sallaku takes over as Commander of Support Command

 

Brigadier General Ndriçim Sallaku took on his new duty as Commander of the Support Command, replacing Colonel Gasper Lala, who held this assignment for approximately 2 years.

Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku, congratulated Colonel Lala for successful continuation in other career assignments and expressed the conviction that he himself feels honored to pass on the duty to one of the most prominent professionals of the logistics field and one with great ambition to do the best, as General Sallaku.

Attending the ceremony were the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku, Force Commanders and Directors of the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense.
In his speech, the Commander of Support Command Colonel Gasper Lala upon termination of his duty term said it was an honor and privilege to have run this structure for a period of 18 months. Among other things he praised the tireless and continual work of this command structures.


The new Commander of the Support Command, Brigadier General Ndriçim Sallaku, said he was proud and honored to take on this task and expressed gratitude to all higher authorities for the evaluation and promotion to the rank of general as well as for the trust shown by appointing him in this prominent task.

The ceremony at Support Command followed the ceremony held in the premises of the General Staff, where General Sallaku had the stars emplaced in the promotion ceremony. Defence Deputy Minister Koçi was also present and he emphasized that during all moments of cooperation with General Sallaku he has seen in him the spirit of discipline and commitment but has also witnessed another peculiar character. He is generally too humane and well-disposed and he believes this is one of his special attributes worth accentuating.
