Minister Xhaçka, paid a condolence visit to the family of the Homeland Martyr, Corporal Hasanaj

Defence Minister Olta Xhaçka, back home from Riga, paid a condolence visit to the family of Corporal Zarife Hasanaj, who fell in line of duty during the NATO mission in Latvia.
“Your pain is also ours. You are part of the great military family. You will have our support for every need. The loss of Zarife’s life is a great loss for us all,” - said Minister Xhaçka.
Minister Xhaçka, also, informed the family members of Corporal Zarife Hasanaj that their beloved daughter was declared “Martyr of Homeland”.

Earlier, at Riga Airport in Latvia, the coffin covered with the National Flag bearing the body of the Corporal Zarife Hasanaj, was honored by the effectives of the 10 participating countries in “enhanced Forward Presence” Mission and then to be transported by military aircraft in the homeland.
Corporal Hasanaj’s body will be received Thursday with military honors at “Mother Teresa” Airport before being brought to her family.
Homage for the Homeland artyr will be held on Friday at the Palace of Congresses from 10:00 - 11:30 am.
After the homage and state ceremony, Corporal Hasanaj will be given the last farewell to the Martyrs’ Cemetery in Tirana, where she will eternally rest in peace.
