US Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan (acting), writes a condolence message to Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka

The US Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan (acting) sent a sympathy message to Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka for the loss of two effectives Zarife Hasanaj and Klodian Tanushi during the NATO “enhanced Forward Presence” mission in Latvia.
In his message, the acting Secretary of Defense Shanahan describes as a tragic loss that of Sergeant Hasanaj and Major Tanushi.
“We mourn their loss and share Albania’s grief. Their loss is a painful reminder of the risk our soldiers are facing while defending our freedom and our way of life. We offer our condolences to the families of Sergeant Hasanaj and Major Tanushi and our best wishes for Sergeant First Class Kapaj’s recovery,” is written in the sympathy message by Secretary of Defense Patrick Shanahan (acting).
The acting US Defense Secretary expressed the utmost appreciation for the contribution of the Albanian Armed Forces within NATO. “I stand before the sacrifice of the Albanian Armed Forces and the forces of all NATO Alliance countries. We appreciate your alliance and honor the memory of your fallen heroes,” - closes his message to the Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka, the acting US Secretary of Defense.
