National Day of Mourning for Major Klodian Tanushi, who is proclaimed “Martyr of Homeland”

The Council of Ministers honors Major Klodian Tanushin, who felt in the line of duty during the NATO “enhanced Forward Presence” mission in Latvia, announcing Thursday 16 May 2019, a National Day of Mourning . In honor of Major Tanushi, Commander of the Albanian contingent in Latvia, on Thursday, in all public and private institutions, the national flag will be flown at half-staff.
Also, the Central Commission of the “Martyr of Homeland” Statute, under the leadership of Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka, proclaims Major Klodian Tanushin, who fell in line of duty as “Homeland Martyr”.
Homage in honor of the homeland martyr will be held in the premises of the National Museum of History in Tirana, from 10:00-12:00 PM.
Then, in the premises of the Museum, a state ceremony will be held in honor of Major Klodian Tanushi, before the coffin covered with the national flag is going to be placed in the gun carriage and accompanied to the Homeland Martyrs’ Cemetery.
