The lifeless body of Major Klodian Tanushi arrives home

 The lifeless body of the Albanian contingent Commander in Latvia, Major Klodian Tanushi, who felt in the line of duty during the NATO “enhanced Forward Presence” mission is brought in the homeland.

The coffin bearing the lifeless body of Major Tanushi and covered with the National Flag, was transported by military aircraft from Latvia and was accompanied by his Albanian, Canadian, and Latvian colleagues from the NATO battalion-group.



The lifeless body of Major Tanushi was received at "Mother Teresa" Airport by the Defence Minister Olta Xhaçka, Deputy Defensce Minister Petro Koçi, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku, military colleagues from all commands and forces as well as family members of the Commander.


After the reception with official honors and military ceremony at the airport, the lifeless body of Major Tanushi was brought to his home to continue with traditional family rites.

The homage for Major Tanushi and later on, the state ceremony, will be held on Thursday at the premises of the National Museum of History from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm.

After the homage and state ceremony, Major Tanushi will be bidden the last farewell to the Homeland Martyrs’ Cemetery in Tirana, where he will eternally rest in peace.
