Major Tanushi was bidden farewell by his colleagues of the NATO battalion-group in Latvia

Major Klodian Tanushi, the Commander of the Albanian contingent in Latvia, fallen in line of duty at the NATO “enhanced Forward Presence” mission in the Baltic Sea, was bidden farewell with the highest military honors by his colleagues.
Effectives of the nine participating countries in the “enhanced Forward Presence” mission, including Latvia, escorted at Riga Airport the flag-covered coffin, bearing the lifeless body of Major Tanushi, who will be transported by military aircraft to the homeland.
The lifeless body of Major Tanushi is expected to arrive at “Mother Teresa” Airport on Wednesday, 12:45 pm, and will be received with official military honors before being brought to his family.

The homage for the commander of the Albanian contingent in Latvia will be held on Thursday at the National History Museum from 10:00 to 12:00.
After the homage and state ceremony, Major Tanushi will be given the last farewell to the Homeland Martyrs’ Cemetery in Tirana, where he will be eternally rest in peace.
