The training for Black Hawk helicopter begins

Air Force technicians started the training for new “Black Hawk” helicopters by their US colleagues. These helicopters are about to be used by our Armed Forces.

Albanian technicians were acquainted with basic knowledge on flight procedures, which are different from those they work daily with.

The Commander of the American Trainers Unit, who started by training our technicians, explained the character of this training and appreciated the abilities of our Air Force technicians. “They are learning fundamental skills to be ready for a new flight structure, which will be realty very soon. They have worked with many helicopter structures, which shows that they have really good capabilities and it helps us use all these capabilities for the new aerial framework. There is still a need for specialized training, both for the new aerial framework and for the electrical part, engine features. “Black Hawk” has a T700 engine, different from the helicopters you have now. There is nothing beyond their capabilities that they may not do, it simply has different characteristics from the current aerial framework,” said Lieutenant Colonel Lance Allred of the US Air Force in Europe.

At the end of the first training phase, the American Trainers Unit provided certificates for the Albanian Air Force technicians who will attend training on new helicopters at other stages.

Along with the technicians, pilots training will be started at the New Jersey National Guard before being fully operational in terms of Search and Rescue operations, exercises, transportation but even their maintenance.

Black Hawk helicopters will be used by our Air Force after finalizing the agreement by Dfence Minister Olta Xhaçka during her visit to the United States in April this year.
