NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg visited Tirana

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg visited Tirana on Sunday (2 June 2019) for talks with Albania’s leadership.

Secretary Stoltenberg was welcomed by Defense Minister, Mrs. Olta Xhaçka, at the International Airport "Mother Teresa", where they also held a brief meeting during which they discussed the situation in the country.

Afterwards, Mrs. Minister Xhaçka, accompanied Secretary General, Mr. Stoltenberg, to the Council of Ministers, where he met with Prime Minister, Mr. Edi Rama, with whom they joint press conference.

As well, Mr. Stoltenberg he will have a meeting with the President of Republic of Albania, Mr. Ilir Meta, before travelling to the Republic of North Macedonia.
