The Chairmanship of SEDM for the 2019 - 2021 was officially taken over by MoD of Republic of Albania

Starting from 1st of July 2019, the Chairmanship of the biggest regional initiative - South Eastern Defense Ministerial – SEDM, is officially taken over for a two - year period (2019 – 2021) by our country.

To this end, the Secretariat of SEDM Chairmanship, held by Greece during 2017 – 2019 period, is paying an official visit to our country. The purpose of this visit is to hand over to the Albanian Chairmanship of SEDM the archive and other authentic documents in the framework of this initiative.

Major General Achillefs Taouxis, director of the Secretariat of SEDM under the two - year Greece Chairmanship and the delegation accompanying him, held a meeting with the General Director of Defence Policy, Florian Kali. During the meeting, the Secretariat of SEDM Chairmanship was handed over.

Earlier that day, the Greek delegation held courtesy meetings with the Defence Deputy Minister Petro Koçi and the Chief of General Staff Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku.
