Colonel Altin Kurti the new Commander of the Military Police

Today, in the Military Police premises, took place the change of command ceremony of this important unit of the Armed Forces. The ceremony held on this occasion, was attended by Chief of General Staff Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku, senior military officers of the Armed Forces as well as Military Police officers.
The ceremony began by reading the Order of the Minister of Defence on the appointment of Colonel Altin Kurti as incoming Commander of the Military Police, while Colonel Ekland Dauti is the outgoing one.
Colonel Ekland Dauti in his address thanked the participants for the cooperation and support received during these two years as commander in order to accomplish successfully the tasks and mission of the Military Police."Two years ago, I took over as commander of one of the most special and elite structures of the Armed Forces. During this period, the main priority has been the growth and development of operational capacities to make the Military Police a fully professional and capable unit in fulfilling its mission and duties."
At the end of the speech, Colonel Dauti thanked the Ministry of Defence and General Staff for the support given in performing the duties and wished Colonel Kurti success in the new position as the commander of MP.
The incoming Military Police commander, Colonel Altin Kurti expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Defence and the General Staff of the Armed Forces, for the appreciation and confidence shown with his appointment as commander. "I feel honored and privileged for the task taken as commander of the MP. It is a special and important mission for me, and holds a great responsibility because of the main role that the Military Police has in fulfilling the constitutional mission of the Armed Forces, but also because of the responsibilities we have as a NATO member country. Therefore, all of us must act as a team where there is only one rule where each of us carries out his duty in the area of responsibility. The high standard that you have set so far thanks to your job and leadership in accomplishing tasks, makes me take more responsibility, but at the same time, it make it easier to keep up with the success achieved by the Military Police. So let me thank you for the achievements so far and encourage you for further positive results."
Chief of General Staff of Armed Forces, Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku, opened his speech by thanking and showing gratitude for the work, professionalism and achievements shown by Col. Dauti while leading this unit. He also expressed his full trust and wished success in the new post, the commander of Military Police, Colonel Altin Kurti.
Then the ceremony continued with passing the Military Police flag. Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku, gave Colonel Ekland Dauti the Military Police emblem "In recognition of the contribution given to the Military Police".
The ceremony was concluded with a joint photo.
