The Engineering Battalion of the Support Command completed the erection of a "Bailey" bridge in the village of Mbrezhdan in the Municipality of Këlcyra.
The newly built bridge has a length of 42 meters and will facilitate significantly the movement of about 600 residents of 4 villages in the Malëshovë Region.
The bridge, with a load capacity of 30 tons, was constructed in cooperation with the municipality of Këlcyra, which has previously built the bridge abutments.
The new bridge replaces a deprecated bridge, providing minimum security conditions, where only pedestrians and animals can pass.
The construction of this bridge not only improves local infrastructure but also helps the government project "100 Villages" to support agro-tourism and non-agricultural economy.
The Program “100 Villages” aims to coordinate development interventions in the rural area of 100 villages with high potential for economic-social development, agro-tourism and rural tourism, nature and environment as well as cultural heritage development
