Draft law on “Civil Protection” submitted to Parliamentary Commissions

Defence Deputy Minister Petro Koçi, introduced to the National Security Parliamentary Commission and to the Legal Affairs, Public Administration and Human Rights Parliamentary Commission the bill on "Civil Protection”. It will be the new regulator to prevent and cope with civil emergencies in our country.
Mr. Koçi submitted to the MPs the novelties and advantages that this draft law brings, starting from the establishment of the National Civil Emergency Agency to the clear responsibilities of any state institution or private entity as well as to the preparation of the legal basis for membership in the EU civil protection mechanism.
Deputy Minister Koçi was accompanied by the Director General of Civil Emergencies Haki Çako and other representatives of the Ministry of Defence.
