AAF extinguishing fires in some areas of the country

In the last few days, the Armed Forces have engaged their troops to extinguish three fires in the country.

For three days, the Regional Protection Detachment troops in Gjirokastra have been working on extinguishing a large fire in the village of Goranxi, part of the Dropull i Poshtëm administrative unit in Dropull Municipality.

As a result of the rugged terrain, intervening in this hearth, which has been reactivated several times, has been difficult, thus burning about 150 acres of bushes and pastures. Forces from municipalities of Dropull, Tepelena and Civilian Emergencies also took part in the extinguishing this fire.

In the north of the country, the troops of the 1st Infantry Battalion Vau i Dejës have extinguished a fire at the Qeret administrative unit, part of Puka Municipality. Several acres of bushes and pastures were burned by fire.

Also, 1st Infantry Battalion troops monitored a small fire in the village of Dush in Vau i Dejës, which thankfully was extinguished naturally.
