EOD Group neutralizes the risk coming from a buried shell arsenal in Manati Village, Lezha Municipality

Following the notification received by the Ministry of Interior, EOD Logistic Group successfully conducted an operation to neutralize the risk coming from 74 shells found in the backyard of a resident's home in Manati village, Kolsh administrative unit, Lezha Municipality.

The amount of shells of different calibers, dominated by 150 mm caliber-shell weighing 50 kg, were buried in that area for decades.

The EOD team carried out on-site examinations, in accordance with technical safety measures and protocols. After determining the risk potential for projectiles of this caliber, they were transported to one of the certified ranges in order to be disposed.
