Troops of the VI Peacekeeping Contingent return after mission in Kabul, Afghanistan

The troops of the VI Peacekeeping Contingent of the Special Forces Battalion and the XIII Peacekeeping Contingent of the II Infantry Battalion that participated in the Resolute Support Mission in Kabul, Afghanistan have returned home after completing their mission.
Defence Minister Niko Peleshi welcomed the effective, with a post on Facebook.
At the welcoming ceremony in the military premises of Rinas Aeroport participated the Deputy Chief of General Staff, Major General Manushaqe Shehu, the Commander of the Land Forces, Brigadier General Arben Kingji and the Military Attaché of the Republic of Turkey, Colonel Kablay,
During his speech, the Commander of the Land Force Brigadier General Arben Kingji stressed out: "From this place that we have gathered today, many contingents have departed and returned, but today is a special occasion. You are the last contingent in the RSM peacekeeping mission concluding another historic chapter in the Land Force's contribution to NATO-led peace support operations. The experience gained will be used in training, education, and exercise."
Since the beginning of its participation in international missions in Afghanistan in 2002, the Land Force, has been represented in all regional commands such as Herat, Mazar-i-Sharif, Kabul and Kandahar.
