Defence Minister Ermal Nufi inspects progress of Guna Tactical investment

Nufi: “The Defence Industry is a new pillar of economic growth and national security”

Defence Minister Ermal Nufi, together with Deputy Prime Minister Albana Koçiu, visited Guna Tactical, where one of Albania's most significant defence industry investments is currently under development.

During the visit, the progress of the project and its strategic importance were reviewed. The investment marks an important step toward developing a modern defence industry with the potential to strengthen national security, boost economic growth, and create new jobs.

“Guna Tactical is building a specialized facility for the design and production of uniforms and equipment for the Albanian Armed Forces, the State Police, the Prison Police, other security institutions, and partners from NATO member states,” Minister Nufi said.

According to the Minister, the project is expected to create around 1,200 new jobs, introduce advanced technologies and expertise, and help integrate Albania's defence industry into international supply chains.

Minister Nufi reiterated that developing the defence industry remains one of the Government's strategic priorities, with the goal of building a stronger, more competitive sector closely integrated with Albania's strategic partners and NATO Allies.
