The incident at Gramsh plant, the Defence Minister visits the two injured soldiers in the hospital

The Defence Minister Niko Peleshi, visited today at QSUT the military of the Armed Forces, who were injured the day before during the incident at Gramsh plant, where three foreign citizens, with Russian and Ukrainian passports, tried to enter the premises of the plant.
"I just visited the two soldiers, Aldo and Ardian, who were admitted to the toxicology ward yesterday. Their state is good, they had a peaceful night and today they are ready to be discharged.", - said Minister Peleshi.

The Defence Minister asked for patience until the event is fully clarified, for which all structures are working, from the Military Intelligence, the Military Police, the State Intelligence Service, the State Police and Anti-Terrorism: "Three foreign citizens have approached the former Gramsh Military Plant. I say former, because that plant has not been active for years. One of the foreign nationals crossed the fence illegally. At this moment, the two soldiers, responding to the level and responsibility of the duty, have prevented it. The Russian citizen reacted physically, he also used a spray, which also caused injury, but, despite the injury, the two soldiers notified the State Police. The police reacted very quickly and made it possible to stop and arrest this foreign citizen. Then, not far from the Gramshi plant, two other citizens were stopped in a car. Undoubtedly, placed both in the wider regional context and in the political context, it must be evaluated and cannot be passed off as an ordinary incident, but we cannot rush to conclusions, but still the fact that there was a violent reaction by these foreign citizens makes us more attentive to investigate it to the end. There are many structures that will work from our Military Intelligence, Military Police, State Intelligence Service, State Police, Anti-Terrorism. Now the three foreign citizens who, as I said, hold Russian and Ukrainian passports, are under questioning and investigation", - stated Mr. Peleshi after the visit to QSUT.

The minister emphasized that such events should be treated responsibly: "It is abnormal to treat such events as if it were the local politics of the day. These are critical, especially the statements of political factors, statements of state institutions are observed, analyzed, commented on and can turn into a much bigger problem than the event itself.", - said Mr. Peleshi.
