Defence Minister Kodheli held meeting with Minister of Defence of Lithuania, Mr. Jouzas Olekas

Defence Minister Mrs. Mimi Kodheli, who is in an official visit to Lithuania on the occasion of the conference “NATO Open Door: Ten Years after the ‘Big Bang’”, taking place in Vilnius, held this morning meeting with the Minister of National Defence of Lithuania, Mr. Jouzas Olekas.
Both counterparts discussed about the further deepening and intensification of cooperation between our two countries. This cooperation is most needed in the present situation.
Regarding bilateral relations, it was discussed on the opportunity of experience exchange and conduct of joint exercises, especially in the framework of “Smart Defence”, wherein Baltic countries are leaders, is needed.
Other topics related to NATO issues discussed in the meeting were, security situation in Europe and international operations.
