The new commander of the Support Command, Brigadier General Aleksandër Pando, was introduced in the new facilities

 

The Support Command began the year 2025 with new infrastructure and a new commander. Defence Minister Pirro Vengu, attended the introduction ceremony of the new commander, Brigadier General Aleksander Pando at the new premises, alongside the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Arben Kingji, as well as operatives of the Support Command and other units of the Armed Forces.

Brigadier General Pando has previously served as the director of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

The Support Command is a crucial structure of the Armed Forces, responsible for providing support in logistics, infrastructure, healthcare, and other services in order to fulfill the AAF’s constitutional mission.

With the new facilities where the Support Command will operate, the Ministry of Defense aims to expand its capacities and continue the modernization process to enhance its efficiency and strengthen it as a vital part of the Civil Defense system.
