The engineering units of the Albanian Armed Forces have successfully completed the construction of two "Bailey" type bridges, meeting the needs of local communities in two different areas of the country.
The bridge in Klos, Fan village, Mirdita, spans 27 meters and has a load capacity of up to 40 tons. It will serve approximately 600 residents of the area, as well as many visitors who spend their weekends there. The bridge connects Fan village to a middle school, an elementary school, a healthcare center, and provides direct access to the National Road.
Meanwhile, the bridge in Caraj neighborhood, Perlat i Epërm, also has a load capacity of up to 40 tons. Its construction involved 10 personnel and 3 vehicles over a 10-day period. This bridge serves around 450 residents, facilitating access for students attending the middle school, connecting the area to the local healthcare center and the Rrëshen-Lurë road. Additionally, it provides access to key tourist attractions such as Val Cave and Lufaj village, offering opportunities for nature walks and hiking.
This project is a significant contribution by the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defense to the development of infrastructure in these areas, improving connectivity and opportunities for both residents and visitors, while ensuring better conditions for transportation and access to public services.
