Today at noon, the Media Adviser to the Minister of Defence, Ms. Edlira Prendi gave a press statement as follows:

The Ministry of Defence informs the public that today, on date April 11, 2014, have submitted to the General Prosecutor Office a letter for the Attorney General, Mr. Adriatik Llalla, requesting: the immediate launch of an investigation in reference to the accusations made yesterday by the member of the Parliament of the Democratic Party, Mr. Arben Imami, at the plenary session of the Parliament of Albania.

As Minister of Defence, based on the Constitution and laws of the country, Mrs. Kodheli requires from the Attorney General to launch an investigation for the serious charges made against the Armed Forces.

The Ministry of Defence guarantees that, it will cooperate in any moment with the Prosecutor office putting at disposal all the required materials and necessary assistance that this institution will require regarding the full clarification of these charges.
