Albania hosts the third NATO Cyber Defence Conference

On October 9–10, 2025, Tirana will host the Third NATO Cyber Defence Conference, one of the Alliance’s most important high-level events addressing global challenges and strategies in the field of cyber defence.

Organized by the National Authority for Cyber Security (NACS) in cooperation with NATO, this event brings to Albania political leaders, top experts, industry representatives, and security institutions from NATO member states and partner countries.

Cyber defence today represents a core component of the Alliance’s collective defence. The conference aims to foster knowledge exchange, strengthen international cooperation, and develop strategies to confront increasingly complex threats in cyberspace.

Key topics to be discussed include strategies for strengthening NATO’s cyber defence, strategic investment and accountability in cyber security, geopolitical threats in the digital domain, the role of the private sector in enhancing cyber resilience, and regional and interinstitutional cooperation.

The conference will open with welcoming remarks by the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, the Director General of NACS, a video message from NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, and senior representatives from NATO’s Digital Transformation Division.

Official delegations from NATO member states, cybersecurity experts, representatives from the technology industry, and partner international organizations are participating in the conference.
