Minister Kodheli inspects the former destruction area of munitions in Hajmel, Vau i Dejës

Defence Minister Mrs. Mimi Kodheli, accompanied by the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Jeronim bazo, inspected the former destruction area of munitions in Hajmel, Vau i Dejës, which is undergoing a process of control and cleansing by the personnel and means of the Armed Forces.

Defence Minister Kodheli was briefed about the work the Armed Forces personnel is carrying out for cleansing this former shooting range, and emphasized that, the demilitarization process of hotspots continues across the country. This process is very important to the lives of our citizens. The Armed Forces are in charge of this very important activity for the community, added Minister Kodheli.

Major General Bazo urged the residents of the area to stay away from the former destruction areas of munitions. “It is impossible to control all the territories, therefore, cooperation with local community is required”, stressed Major General Bazo.

The Mayor of Vau Deja, Mr. Gjon Marku also participated in the inspection. He thanked the Armed Forces, which responded to the demand of the local government and are committed to a more complete cleansing of the territory, aiming to ensure the life of the residents.
