Defence Minister Ermal Nufi visits Fincantieri’s naval vessels division in Italy

Minister Nufi: “Fincantieri’s expertise and best practices will contribute to the implementation of our joint project in Vlora”

As part of Albania’s partnership with Fincantieri, minister of Defence Ermal Nufi paid a visit to the company’s Naval Vessels Division in Muggiano, Italy, one of Europe’s foremost facilities for naval shipbuilding and maritime systems.

During a tour of the shipyard, minister Nufi was briefed on the design, production and integration of advanced naval platforms. He also gained an overview of Fincantieri’s high standards in industrial management, quality assurance and the organisation of integrated shipbuilding operations.

Commenting on the visit in a social media post, minister Nufi said:

“This visit offered a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge and learn more about Fincantieri’s best practices, which will support the development of Albania’s industrial capabilities and the implementation of the joint ‘Fincantieri Albania’ project in Vlora.”
