Parliamentary Laws Committee discusses the Armed Forces’ legislative package

The Parliamentary Committee on Legal Issues discussed today the three bills submitted for approval by the Ministry of Defence: Law on Powers, Commanding Authorities and the Strategic Management of the Armed Forces, Law on the Military Career in the Armed Forces, and Law on the Operation of the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA). At the committee’s meeting attended the Minister of Defence, Mrs. Mimi Kodheli, the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Jeronim Bazo, and directors and specialists of the Ministry of Defence and General Staff of the Armed Forces.
In her speech, Defence Minister Kodheli gave a brief overview about the need that has arisen for a reflection and some changes in these laws, which are the most important ones of the Armed Forces’ legislative package.
