Minister Kodheli celebrates June 1 with the children of the military personnel

Minister Kodheli: We should never stop working to grow and educate our children, to give them the dignity they deserve, the future they deserve, the European future. 

On the occasion of June 1, International Children’s Day, in the premises of the Ministry of Defence, the Centre of Culture, Media and Defence Publications (CCMDP) organized today an event with the participation of the children of the military personnel attending the art classes at this centre. At the event attended Defence Minister Mrs. Mimi Kodheli, the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Jeronim Bazo, directors and officers of the Ministry of Defence and General Staff, children of the military, parents and their relatives, etc.

Initially, Minister Kodheli and the other participants attended a sportive demonstration by the children of karate class and hand games; later, they visited the exhibition with works by the children of the painting class. In addition, the children of the singing, instruments, recitation classes, presented a concert at the main hall.

Defence Minister Kodheli, wishing the children happy June 1, stressed that every child is more than an angel, is something that exceeds the boundaries of human, that connects you with something very important, that is the legacy we have left through love we transmit to grow children, in order to be worthy citizens of the society, and this is something we should always have. Mrs. Kodheli underlined that the work that I do, my efforts, derive from a mother who knows what means the future of the children. Therefore, she added, we should never stop working to grow and educate our children, to give them the dignity they deserve, the future they deserve, the European future.

The artistic concert was conceived as a beautiful mosaic with interpretations of songs, recitations, instrumental parts, such as: the song for June 1, songs for mothers and grandmothers, for the school, guitar and piano parts, collages with well-known songs for children, as “Bashkë me fëmijët”, sung by the singer Kozma Dushi along with the children group, the song “Për mbi shtregull kolovitem”, sung by singer Ervin Bush along with the children group. The celebration of June 1 and the beautiful concert are an expression of the work and care that the Ministry of Defence and CCMDP shows for the celebration of important days, as well as to enrich the cultural life in our Armed Forces.
