Military Police tests capacities in “Cooperation for security” exercise

For several days, at the Biza training area, the personnel of the operational company of the Military Police and NATO Response Force (NRF) platoon conducted the exercise “Cooperation for security”. The exercise aimed to increase the Military Police capacity for peace support operations, collective defence and disasters relief within the country. Through this exercise, the participating troops tested the operational capabilities of the staffs at the tactical level, as well as knowledge on planning and conduction of operations.

In the Distinguished Visitor Day, the Military Police forces were inspected by the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Jeronim Bazo and several directors of the General Staff. After the briefing on the exercise, the Military Police troops demonstrated training elements related to the purpose of this exercise, such as providing security for safer thoroughfares; providing security to the military base and countering attacks of terrorist groups; escort and security of VIPs, etc.

Major General Jeronim Bazo congratulated the Military Police troops for what they have achieved during these training days, raising at a higher level their image and dignity, and requested a maximum commitment for the acquisition of the training programs and standardization of operating procedures throughout the training process.

In this exercise participated seven girls, part of the Military Police personnel, which showed high skills and dedication in carrying out their duties, alongside their male colleagues.
