“Open Day” of the “Albanian Lion '14” Exercise

At the Rinas airport took place today the “Open Day” of the joint Albanian-British exercise, “Albanian Lion 2014”. At the ceremony attended the Deputy Minister of Defence, Mr. Dritan Hila, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Jeronim Bazo, UK Ambassador in Tirana, Mr. Nicholas Cannon, generals and senior officers of the Armed Forces, defence attachés accredited to our country and families of servicemen of the Armed Forces participating in the joint Albanian-British exercise, “Albanian Lion”.

The relatives of the Armed Forces personnel, conducting training alongside the British troops, were familiarized on the way how their relatives are trained. They also saw closely the military means used during the exercise “Albanian Lion”, deployed at the Rinas airport and made many pictures. In his speech on this occasion, the Deputy Minister of Defence, Mr. Dritan Hila thanked the British and Albanian personnel participating in the joint exercise, as well as the other participants in the ceremony. He said that the aim of this activity is to bring the public closer to the Armed Forces.
