Teachers and students of the Secondary Military School "Skanderbeg" commemorated the 71 - anniversary of its creation. The event, held at the National History Museum, was attended by Deputy Minister of Defence Mr. Petro Koci, and ex - students of this school, already known in public life.

The 71 - year history of this school and of the generations studied there is reflected in a book written by two "skënderbegas", which was just launched. The book "Skënderbegasit ndër vite" is written by the authors Kujtim Boriçi and Maksim Fejzullau.

In his speech, Deputy Minister Koçi welcomed the participants and thanked the authors of the book, which as he said, is an important document for the history of this school. "The book holds a special place in the history of the Albanian Armed Forces. Each skënderbegas is proud of this school, which has not formed only military, but also has produced intellectual and civilian elite. It has contributed to science, diplomacy, politics, culture, sport, education etc. We bow respectfully to the contribution that this school has given in the education of several generations", - said Deputy Minister Koçi, who praised the activities of the Association "Skënderbegasit", and assured its members for the continuation of the close cooperation between the Association and the Ministry of Defence.

On the occasion of 71- st anniversary of Secondary Military School "Skanderbeg", Defence Minister Mrs. Mimi Kodheli awarded to 103 ex - students of this school, a certificate of gratitude for "the contribution given in the Albanian Armed Forces, becoming thus an example of inspiration for the succeeding generations in the following years."

On March 28, 1945 in Tirana opened the "School of War Pioneers", where the first students were 200 young partisans among them 7 girls.
