Ministry of Defence Celebrates the 1 - st of June

Today the Ministry of Defence celebrated the International Children’s Day on the 1st of June. The event organized under the auspices of Defence Minister Mrs. Mimi Kodheli, as well as in cooperation with primary schools in Tirana, Bar Association, and General Prison Directory this year was particularly dedicated to children of convicted mothers.
The event was associated with artistic events that were prepared by the children of primary schools in the capital city. Part of the event was the "Great Master" of theatre, our actress Roza Anagnosti, who recited an artistic children’s monologue of the poet Mitrush Kuteli.
In the event took part the Defence Minister, Mrs. Mimi Kodheli, Deputy Minister, Mr. Petro Koçi, Chief of General Staff of AAF, Major General Jeronim Bazo, Deputy Minister of Education and Sports, Mrs. Nora Malaj, deputy of Albanian Parliament, Mrs. Klodiana Spahiu and the director General of Prisons Mr. Artur Zoto.
In her greeting speech, Minister Kodheli, emphasized that this event is absolutely dedicated to all children, but in the first place is dedicated to those children whose mothers are imprisoned. Minister Kodheli considered this as a moment of reflection, in order to do the best for the Albanian society, which despite its efforts, is still suffering injustice.
Defence Ministry and primary schools of the capital handed out presents for the children of imprisoned mothers. The Defence Ministry handed several certificates of appreciation to the participating schools in order to thank the students and teachers who helped on this event.
After the event finished, Defence Minister Mrs. Kodheli provided a lunch for those children and their mothers.
