Albanian 2 -nd Company of 2 -nd Infantry Battalion, takes part in the Exercise “Anaconda – 16”

An Albanian company of AAF will participate in one of the largest NATO exercises in the last years. At Land Force Command at Zall – Herr, was held the departure ceremony of the Second Company of the Second Infantry Battalion, which will participate in the Joint - Exercise "Anaconda - 16" that will take place in Drawsko Pomorskie, Poland, on 7 - 17 June, 2016.

In this exercise, the Company will have a full staff participation of 127 troops. The main purpose of this exercise is testing the combat capability, dislocation and interoperability of each unit.
This ceremony was attended by Chief of General Staff, Major General Jeronim Bazo, Commander of Land Force, Brigadier General Nazmi Cahani, Commander of Naval Force, Brigadier General Ylber Dogjani, Commander of Training and Doctrine Command, Brigadier General Dede Prenga, and Commander of Support Command, Colonel Fatmir Lokaj etc.

During his speech Chief of General Staff, MG. Jeronim Bazo, highlighted that AAF are at a stage of intensive growth of operability and readiness. "You are at the stage where you are strengthening, consolidating in terms of organization, training and increased operability, for being prepared in taking full high readiness in the coming year, under the framework of Joint High Readiness Brigade (Very High Readiness Joint Task Force) led by Great Britain. Even if the company of “lion hearts” is not yet back, another Second Company is taking part in a very important dignified exercise with a high profile of our large Alliance, which is the Second Company. Personally, I have the confidence that with your dedication and sacrifice you will successfully cope with this long exercise” - Said General Bazo to participating troops.

Exercise “Anaconda – 16”, is an international exercise, in which will take part about 25 thousands troops from 24 Allied and Partner Countries, among which is Kosovo.
