Press Release of Ministry of Defence

Although the opposition media rush up to flap on the front page every abusive news, without verifying neither the news nor the source, although the news of a Greek newspaper referring that a vessel launched from Durrës was carrying weapons and captured in a Greek port turns to be completely fake, and although the Ministry of Defence (MoD) has nothing to do with this event, but in purpose of using every moment for making transparent the procedures that MoD follows, informs the public opinion as below:

MoD since September 2013 till today has sold the stocks discarded out of AAF structures, through its specialized structures, in compliance with all international law and that of the Republic of Albania, only in the member countries of NATO. Shipping is done only by land, by being declared since at the Albanian Customs, and in all countries of transit, up to the final destination Customs House, a member of NATO.

Anyone who is curious can be addressed to Authority and State Export Control (AKSHE), Albanian Customs and to all customs in which the goods have transited or to the final destination Customs House.

The MoD wants to inform and assure the public opinion that the Authority of the State Export Control (AKSHE) has not given any permission or export - import license, transit or intermediary (broker) for any vessel, fishing trawler, ferry or any other vessel.
Thank you!
