Riviera is released from the waste by Armed Forces

Albanian Armed Forces on go the operation "White T- Shirts", cleaning the Albanian Riviera during the summer touristic season. Only in the first days of this operation, the AAF have removed dozens of tons of waste from road axis of the most beautiful part of the Albanian coast.

Divided into two Task - Forces, about 500 troops of the Albanian Armed Forces are cleaning out the roads along the Riviera, from Vlora to Butrinti.
The first Task - Force consisting of about 200 troops of the Troop School in Bunavi, Naval Force and the Air Force, are cleansing the road segment from Vlora to Llogara, including Orikumi beach.

Road axis from Palasa to Butrint, as well the paths that lead to the coast, are cleaned by the second task - force consisting of 300 troops of Commando Battalion, Battalion of the First Infantry in Zall-Herr and Battalion of the Third Infantry in Poshnje, Berat. Also the effectives engaged in this operation are supported by over 65 heavy vehicles of AAF that helped to clean up the massive waste and transport them in landfills.

During the inspection of this work, Brigadier General Nazmi Cahani, the commander of Land Force, who has the main responsibility of this operation, expressed the importance of this action held by the Albanian Armed Forces, primarily to sensitize citizens, but also to assist in cleaning touristic areas.
Albanian Armed Forces' operation in sensitizing citizens and clearing road sections along the Riviera has been launched few days ago and will continue in the following days.
