The Armed Forces construct the bridge in Viçidol

The Effectives of the Armed Forces Engineering Battalion completed the construction of a bailey bridge in the village of Viçidol, in the Municipality of Tropoja, which inhabitants crossed for about 30 years by primitive means.

At the finalization of the works for the construction of the bridge was also present the Defense Minister Mrs. Mimi Kodheli, who said that the response of the Ministry of Defense and of the Armed Forces came in record time after receiving the request from the Mayor.

"We have responded positively a year and a half ago when precisely in these area we built another bridge that has come to the aid of the community. We have constructed almost hundreds of bridges all over Albania. We have been working hard for four years. We are doing this for two major reasons. First, the Armed Forces must have access to move in all areas of Albania wherever they are. Second, we are helping in this way the community and residents and we are doing this with the will and the trust that we are doing the right thing", said Mrs. Kodheli.

At the end of her speech, Minister Kodheli expressed the readiness to continue with the help and support of the residents who thanked her for the bridge, considering it very important to facilitate their movement.

The bridge constructed in the village of Viçidol, 9 meters long and 24 tones of weight limit, comes to the aid of about 3000 residents and 4 villages, mainly livestock farmers who lead the cattle in the mountains.
