Minister Kodheli honors the Italian Defence Attaché

The Ministry of Defence organized a ceremony on the occasion of the termination of the duty of the Italian Defence Attaché in our country, Colonel Luciano Palcani.

Attending this ceremony were the Defense Minister Mrs. Mimi Kodheli, Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces Brigadier General Dedë Prenga, Italian Ambassador in our country, Mr. Alberto Cutillo and other guests.

In her speech, Defense Minister, Mrs. Mimi Kodheli appreciated the contribution of Colonel Palcani in strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of defence and highly valued the relations between Albania and Italy, which she considered excellent: "I am happy that I collaborate with you and we really had a close cooperation. Italy has been, and I am sure, will continue to be one of our most strategic NATO Allies. I wish you the best and thank you for everything you personally and your Minister did."

Italian Defence Attaché Colonel Luciano Palcani expressed the highest consideration for the work done and the cooperation that existed between the parties: "Thank you all very much for the ceremony. During my stay here I have seen a very good job being conducted. I would have liked my stay to be longer. Thank you all for your cooperation. I am convinced that in the future between the Ministry of Defence of Italy and Albania there will be other collaborations that will bring even further developments. Thank you Minister and I want also to thank your staff for co-operation. "

The Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to Albania, his excellence, Mr. Alberto Cutillo, was very pleased with the co-operation between the parties and mentioned the agreements reached between states as the continuation of a healthy relationship that will last even in the future.

At the end of the ceremony, the Minister of Defense, Mrs. Mimi Kodheli handed to Colonel Luciano Palcani the certificate of gratitude for the strengthening of bilateral relations and the wonderful cooperation in the field of defense between the Republic of Italy and the Republic of Albania.
