Armed Forces continue to work on cleaning up some of the road and coastal areas for the Tourist Summer Season 2017. Apart from cleaning roads and areas frequented by tourists, this action also aims at raising citizens’ awareness for keeping the environment clean.

Today, the Defense Deputy Minister Petro Koçi closely inspected the action of the Infantry First Battalion's personnel in Vau Dejë, who are continuing their work on cleaning Shkodër - Muriqan road axis.

Deputy Minister Koçi thanked the participating personnel in this action and stressed that the AF has undertaken a cleaning up campaign in the service of its mission to get even closer to the community and serve it as well. "This can also be called a campaign for a clean Albania. A clean Albania with roads clear from litter and trash does not only mean one more chance for tourists to willingly come to Albania; it does not mean that people will enjoy only physical health, because cleanliness is not only physical health but it is also spiritual health", - Deputy Minister Koçi emphasized.

At the end of his speech, the Defense Deputy Minister Koçi stressed that in a cleaner country, on roads clear from litter people feel better. "So, I think, we are serving people and the society by giving a civic message to them."

In the coming days, the action of the Armed Forces will be extended from the roadside axes of the border points to the coastal ones.
